There were many simultaneous workshops inside the classroom part of the San Jose Convention Center if we resumed with the conference on Friday, September 11th. They were led by engineers and presenters who all handled components from eBay's Fall Seller Update. Some of the areas covered: New Seller Hub, eBay Search, Global Shipping Program, Product Identifiers and my favorite, a Q&A with four traditional and top eBay sellers including the Queen of Auctions, Lynn Dralle and Power Selling Mom, Danna Crawford. The room was standing room only with folks planning to hear information on their types of selling and personal experiences which everybody could relate with. They covered how they sourced, that they listed, pricing, etc. with personal stories and examples. If it had only been longer! So much fun!
As eBay presented each topic, there was a lot of employees to schedule an appointment and several that took notes to adopt time for their various associates at eBay. They spoke, we listened and visa versa. It felt as being a 'live' community chat room with lots of interaction and ideas shared. I really liked the session around the new mobile app. It will look similar across platforms, iPhone and Android and tablets, iPads and desktop computers, too. The engineers were required to cleanup code which had been around as long as eBay to really make it look streamline and elegant and simple to make use of. I downloaded it immediately and adore it!
